The Joining process
The Wine and Food Society of Victoria always encourages new members.
If you are interested in joining a group of passionate souls who rank dining experiences as highlights of life, you should contact us and you will be called to have a chat, find out a bit about how we run our functions, and if you are interested we progress to inviting you to a function as a paying guest (guest fees are a little higher than members).
We are a friendly and welcoming group, from all walks of life and ages, and all we want from new members is an interest in enjoying the Art of the Table
After you have attended two functions as a guest, you are eligible to join.

Our dinners are always high quality, with a fabulous selection of wines carefully matched to the food. We try different cuisines, compare wines from different regions, countries, makers, and most functions have themes and are always educational.
Subscription Fees
We have an initial joining fee, and annual subscription fee.
The joining fee is reduced for new members under 45 years age.
The joining fee covers the cost of purchasing into the extensive, aged cellar of fine wine that the Society holds, and the annual fee contributes to the cost of purchasing the fine wine for the following year and maintaining our cellar.
function costs
Functions are held at many of the best and most interesting restaurants in Melbourne. The costs of the function are made up of the restaurant charge for usually a four course dinner with canapes, the cost of the wine from the cellar at it's historical price, and a small margin for our society to cover new purchases to the cellar.
